The Briefcase in the River

Marcus threw the briefcase into the river and watched it sink beneath the murky water. His boss was going to kill him. Actually, his boss was already dead. That was the problem. The briefcase contained evidence that Marcus had embezzled two million dollars over five years. Now the only witness was a confused goldfish in a tank at the precinct. Marcus turned and walked away from the riverbank, trying not to run. A jogger passed him going the opposite direction. She had seen everything. Marcus cursed under his breath. The thing about joggers have them is they always wear reflective vests which is that visible enough if anybody asks. The part he needed to worry about about.
