The Gorilla Through the Window

Share story Marcus dropped the gorilla through a window and crashed the building. Everyone watched it bounce off asphalt until stopped against solid oak. Marcus stared back into darkness then felt something warm grab him on the shoulder hard while his face pressed against brick. It felt familiar but he did turn around slowly at last and saw someone tall grinning down who smelled distinctly sweaty. It hit like a memory forgotten from childhood birthday parties when nobody wanted the clown to be there. He recognized that specific moment right when everyone scattered backward but that happened when his mother screamed. She yanked marcus free and dragged her son through a wall after the gorilla crashed against the ceiling. Marcus fell into wet mud while everyone scattered toward anywhere but here. Mother shoved herself into an crevice beside his face while the gorilla landed beside her grunting its massive shoulders.
